Women’s reproductive health is one of the most concerning issues in the community, severely impacted by the lack of healthcare facilities and professionals in remote areas.
The number of house chores and other life duties that women take often exacerbate the problem impact, which leads to a common yet unfortunate decision of non-prioritizing sexual and reproductive health and rights.

The project offers an early-stage solution for eradicating the gap in sexual and reproductive health services in ger areas and tested a social enterprise business model providing a mobile and pop-up clinic dedicated to women’s sexual and reproductive health. Additionally, the Dandelion project team was selected to pitch the project at the Unleash Plus competition (a global innovation lab for early-stage entrepreneurs) in Kigali, Rwanda as one of the top 10 teams and went through a rigorous process of refining the impact and business model, presenting the Dandelion to social venture investors and an audience of 1,000 individuals.

Impact
During our 30-day operation in remote areas within and outside of Ulaanbaatar, Dandelion provided early-stage screenings, sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing, and gynecologist consultation services to 351 women.
96%
of the women Dandelion served expressed that they found our services to be exceptionally accessible, and excellent, which is not readily available in their local communities.

The joint team of GerHub and Iim Bolgoy NGO conducted in-person workshops and consultations, engaging a total of 758 individuals, including high schoolers. The objective of these sessions was to increase awareness and knowledge about sexual and reproductive health in an interactive and play-based learning environment.

I had severe pain in my lower abdomen for the last month. I could not go seek medical help because I had no time to visit the doctor, so I had been taking
painkillers to manage the pain. Last week, fortunately, the Dandelion mobile clinic was parked on my street so I paid a visit during my lunch break. I had a screening and found out I had an ovarian cyst, and the Dandelion doctor referred me to a private clinic where I got a substantial discount, as it was Dandelion’s partner clinic. Dandelion saved me.”
