Let’s Read
Why?
The Let’s Read project empowers residents of ger area communities, particularly parents and caregivers, to engage with young children through creative, fun, and interactive reading activities. By fostering a culture of shared reading from an early age, the project supports children’s early development and helps prepare them for a successful transition to formal education.
Through community-based initiatives, Let’s Read works to improve access to quality children’s books, strengthen caregivers’ confidence in reading with children, and build a sustainable culture of reading within families and communities.

By working closely with families, community readers, and kindergartens, Let’s Read continues to make early childhood reading more accessible and to nurture a lasting, community-shared habit of reading among young children and their caregivers.
I started attending the reading hours in the spring of 2022. A year later, I witnessed my daughters’ remarkable social skills development, so I wanted to join as a community reader to help more children develop a love for reading. Because of Let’s Read, I can now answer my daughters’ questions and incorporate examples from my own experiences to explain new concepts. If given the opportunity, I am eager to participate in next year’s community reading program as well.”
