43rd khoroo of Songinokhairkhan District, Ulaanbaatar
In Ulaanbaatar, the ger areas frequently face a shortage of public spaces. As a result, children and the elderly are often deprived of the opportunity to enjoy the public amenities only available in the city center.
Despite being home to over 12,500 residents, the 31st & 43rd Khoroos that GerHub serves have only two playgrounds, which can only accommodate a limited number of 52 children.
The Planet Peace Playground is a community-driven initiative to offer a safe, inclusive, and engaging space for children in Ulaanbaatar’s ger districts. Developed with input from local families, this playground was built through collaborative efforts to meet the need for a secure recreational area where children can play, learn, and grow.

We are thrilled to have received such a vibrant and inclusive playground in our khoroos. These types of playgrounds are not common in ger areas, but now our children have the opportunity to play and grow without any worries, thanks to the Planet Peace playground and the Hope Bridge organization. It is one of the many initiatives that GerHub has brought to our community that we have greatly benefited from to this day.”
